Emma's teacher made sure we knew to come to the Awards presentation for the 1st grade class. Emma achieved her AR ( accelerated reading ) goal every 9 weeks and she was also the only one in her class to reach the 50 point club. She read 107 books in her first grade year at school. She was also - second for the whole first grade, the most books read was 115. If she hadn't gotten sick in March she would of whipped butt i'm sure!That afternoon was an ice cream party -- of course, I made sure I was able to volunteer and help... mmmm, ice cream!
