Art Show

It's time for the Highlands Festival and the annual children's art show here in town. Emma submitted 2 paintings and we found out this afternoon that "Icy Land" won first place for grades K - 2nd ! Em's got a ribbon award and the festival sends some moola too later on! Her paintings will stay on display at the William King Art Center here in town till September. Great Job Em's!!

Ok, the squirrel didn't do slip-n-slide with us but it was sitting in the "bird feeder"

you should know now from previous entries that we have a 'custom' made squirrel feeder with a table and chair and here is the said squirrel munching in the bird bowl... what a pig!

A Song Finch in a cup!

It took a few days, they aren't the brightest birds on our block, but they found the new feeder and it's quiet the hot spot!

Here is the father's day project the girls did with David - complete with a squirrel sitting on the chair enjoying today's special, Corn!

We are back...

Camera went to the Kodak cloud in the sky - we just wish it wasn't while we were on vacation so really, Rachel did spend the week with us, I have some pictures on my phone...

Had a great time all week at Vacation Bible School - Rachel was a youth leader with me at the Craft's zone of our church. She did sooooo awesome, Mindy and I were thrilled to have her with us, she is sooo good with the little kids and having extra hands and eye's made it a great week.

YEAHHHHHH! Our favorite friends were in town! They have been gone since last fall but I still can't get used to the fact they aren't here. I keep expecting to see them daily at church and on Sunday's and on slip and slide days and dinner nights... Why can't there be a real interstate in West VA so it would only take us 3 hours to get to OHIO instead of left, right, up, down, hairpin left and 6 hrs later.... arrive.
